IPS Water-Tite™ has signed a non-exclusive license deal to manufacture, distribute, and sell RuffGuard™ and RuffGuard QT, expanding reach in three countries internationally, including the US.

RuffGuard is the world's only stud isolator with integrated nail plate, providing code-required pipe protection in one product. This reduces the time and labor required to install by 50%. RuffGuard's integrated nail protection completely eliminates the need for a separate nail plate which cuts an entire SKU from production and shipping throughout the entire supply chain which translates into both weight and volume savings. It also requires approximately 40% less metal than a standard nail plate, further reducing manufacturing carbon intensity and costs. RuffGuard QT is an acoustic version that dampens vibration transfer associated with water pipes, reducing noise in occupiable areas all together with its integrated nail protection.
Both RuffGuard products satisfy IAPMO IGC93 and are code compliant to 2027 UPC Table 1701.2 for nail protection. RuffGuard and RuffGuard QT are patented in the United States with patent pending in Canada and Australia. The name RuffGuard is trademarked.
