Seattle, Washington

‍

TuffNek patent application has been filed in Canada and is patent pending. With patents granted in USA and Australia, this additional pending panent in North America opens a massive new market in both commercial and residential construction for both brands, TuffNek and Ruffguard.

‍

"Code demands in Canada and plumber feedback have given us confidence that TuffNek provides a valuable offering across all of North America." said founder Shannon Loew.

‍

The National Plumbing Code of Canada (NPC) mirrors that of the Uniform Plumbing Code within the US which requires nail protection whenever pipes pass through a stud of any material. Additionally, stud isolators are also often reqiured, creating high demand for TuffNek and sibling, RuffGuard. Both brands are an innovative product, combining UPC Certified and IAPMO approved solution for nail plate protection and stud isolation in one product.

‍

The combined offering reduces the total products necessary on job site, reducing labor time for plumbers and improving inspection success by eliminating the need for an entire external stud face nail plate. TuffNek and RuffGuard also reduce the total amount of steel required vs a standard nail plate by more than 30%, reducing total cost and carbon to manufacture, and to ship globally.

‍

TuffNek and its sibling RuffGuard are each available in standard and acoustic dampening models. Both brands are each separately available for license to manufacture and distribute in the U.S. and internationally within wholesale and retail channels. The designs are patented and names trademarked. Contact hello@tuffnek.com to learn more.
